Dear SJF Families,

Thank you to Ms. Dunlavy, Mrs. Condon, and Mrs. Scannell, our SOAR moderators, and all of our SOAR students for organizing and facilitating our Veteran’s Day Breakfast and Prayer Service. This day is always so moving and heartfelt as we are surrounded by our family members who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom. We love, honor and respect our Veterans and will always have immense gratitude for all they have done. Also, thank you to our fifth and sixth grade students and teachers for their participation in the prayer service as well!

Report cards are going home today. Our Falcons have grown so much this trimester. As we begin the second trimester, let’s keep pushing and challenging our Falcons to ensure they reach their fullest potential!

Officer Enrique Martinez will be laid to rest on Monday. We will be lining 103rd Street to show our support for Officer Martinez, his family, and the entire Chicago Police Force on Monday. We have had to stand outside to show our love and support for a fallen officer every year for the past seven years. In some years we had to do this more than once. I know that our presence means so much to our beloved officers and their families. Please join us on Monday if you are able.

Now more than ever, it is a great time to be a Falcon! The future of our school and community is bright! Thank you for your continued support of Catholic education, but specifically St. John Fisher School. You Belong Here.

In unity and hope,

-Mrs. Nash
