One of our school themes is “Fly Like a Falcon”. Falcons SOAR above, capturing an aerial view of what is going on below. We are encouraging our school community to “SOAR above” things that might bring us down, not allowing us to be our best selves and to be mindful of those around us who might need our help and support. We are on a school-wide crusade to “Fly Like a Falcon”, lifting one another up, celebrating the positive interactions, and kind behavior that our students and staff demonstrate each and every day. This week we recognize 8th grader, Ryan Adamski. At SJF, we strive to provide numerous opportunities for our Falcons of all ages to engage with each other! Seventh and eighth graders sit alongside our younger Falcons during lunch, assisting them with tasks like opening juice boxes, milk, yogurt, etc., throwing out garbage, and cleaning up spills. Ryan is one of our lunch helpers who consistently goes the extra mile for his kindergarten friends each day. Not only does he support his table during lunch, but he also shares jokes and stories to bring smiles to the kids' faces. He is mature, kind, and considerate, and he has formed wonderful connections with his table this year. Thank you, Ryan, for being an outstanding role model for these kindergarten students. Keep flying like a Falcon; you're making a difference!
