Dear SJF Families, I hope you enjoyed your week. One of the things that I value most about this newsletter is that it allows me the opportunity to reflect on all of the things that we have accomplished, all of the things that we have struggled with and learned from and all of the things that we can do better. Dear SJF Families, Well, we all survived another fun St. Patrick’s Day weekend! Thank you to everyone who participated in the most beautiful St. Patrick’s Day mass, led by Dr. Chermak and our faith-filled third grade, and the fun parade festivities. Our kids did an absolute beautiful rendition of the story of St. Patrick, equipped with St. Patrick himself, Irish dancers, bag pipes and songs. What a lovely way to start St. Patrick’s Day!

Please feel free to join us this Sunday as we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with our Irish mass at 9:15 a.m.

Dear SJF Families, There is never a dull moment here at SJF. Today proved to be no different as we had an unexpected gas issue. Many of our teachers and staff members reported smelling gas in the school building. We immediately contacted People’s Gas, the Chicago Fire Department and Chicago Police Department for assistance with this matter, and out of an abundance of caution, evacuated our students from the school building.
