Notes from Mrs. Nash, December 10, 2021

Dear SJF Families, Happy Friday everyone! I hope you have had many opportunities to get into the Christmas Spirit! As Mrs. Carey’s Wellness Wednesday stated, our kids already have all the feels! Our Falcons have spent time this week writing letters to Santa and wishing for that most important gift to arrive under their tree on Christmas morning. SJF students have also been incredibly generous with their time and prayer in many ways this week.

Dear SJF Families, Welcome back! I hope your family had a lovely Thanksgiving and a fun and relaxing break! On to Christmas! We have a busy month of activities on the calendar as we anticipate the birth of Jesus and all of the joy that preparing for Christmas brings. You can literally feel the excitement from our students as we transform our classrooms and hallways into Winter Wonderlands.

Dear SJF Families, This past Wednesday was the first day of the second trimester. There is nothing in life like the blessings of a clean slate! Regardless of our age or position in life, a fresh start and clean slate is always welcomed. We have encouraged our Falcons to stay motivated and to continue working hard, but to also take this opportunity to identify and make the necessary improvements needed to make this trimester their best one yet!

Dear SJF Families, Yesterday was Veteran’s Day. Thanks to our incredible S.O.A.R. kids and their fabulous moderators, Ms. Colleen Dunlavy and Mrs. Lauren Lordo, we were able to host a beautiful and moving ceremony to pay tribute to the veterans in our school community.

Dear SJF Families, Can you believe we are just 11 days away from the end of the first trimester?! Our Falcons have grown so much this fall and we are proud of their progress. This last week of the trimester is critical for many of our students. Unit and chapter assessments and end of the trimester projects and assignments can make all of the difference this week. Please join us in encouraging your student(s) to do his/her absolute best in this last final push of this marking period.

Dear SJF Families, Well, our Falcons proved that their excitement for a “normal” Halloween experience in school knows no bounds! We had the best week anticipating today and all of the haunting fun this weekend will bring. Our Falcons’ spirit, creativity, and happiness this week were contagious. Dear SJF Families, We cannot thank you enough for the overwhelming support at last week’s Oktoberfest! When the planning for this event began, the committee was hoping to raise $10k for the school. Well, thanks to all of you and our incredibly generous local sponsors, we netted $30k for our amazing school!
