Dear SJF Families, It is amazing to reflect on how much we’ve accomplished as a school community over the last twelve months. It hasn’t always been easy and many of our days have undoubtedly felt long. Please know how grateful I am for the entire community’s support for the faculty and staff, for our overall mission at St. John Fisher, and, most importantly, for our students, your children.

Dear SJF Families, We did it! We successfully stayed open for in-person learning for the ENTIRE SCHOOL YEAR during a worldwide pandemic. Dear SJF Families, Today marked the last day of school for our 8th grade Falcons. We are so proud of all that they accomplished and are confident that they received a strong foundation which will lead them to great success at: Br. Rice, De La Salle, Marist, Mother McAuley, Mount Carmel, St. Ignatius and Whitney Young. Though this class is the 70th graduating class from St. John Fisher, they truly are a class of firsts!

Dear SJF Families, Today was a phenomenal day for our school community. I could not be more impressed or proud of how our students, teachers and parents came together in support of our first Breast Cancer Walkathon. Through monetary donations and the t-shirt and lawn sign fundraiser, as a community we raised over $3,500 to donate to the Little Company of Mary Cancer Center in honor of our 2 beloved faculty members who are currently fighting this disease.

Dear SJF Families, I think the warm summer weather might finally be upon us! Hopefully the sunshine gives us all the extra boost we need. I would like to share with you Dr. Chermak’s prayer that we prayed with our students today: Loving God, you fill our lives with your Holy Spirit. Help us to be wise and learn new things about your big great world. Help us to be brave to do the right thing. Help us to be kind as we understand how others are feeling and include them in our play.

Dear SJF Families, We are entering into the final stage of the school year. As much as it feels like at times this year was moving at a snail’s pace, I now find myself saying, “I can’t believe it’s May”! The remaining weeks of school are action packed. I still am in awe of the incredible things our students and faculty have accomplished during a pandemic school year.
