Dear SJF Families, Thank you for the positive feedback regarding the change to our learning schedule next Monday and Tuesday. As I mentioned, our absenteeism continues to rise as cases from outside of our school continue to impact our students. Thank you for your continued caution and understanding with keeping your child (and his/her siblings) home when he/she has one symptom.

Dear SJF Families, We have 9 weeks of in-person learning in the books – check done! As the positivity rate continues to rise in Illinois, we remain grateful for each and every day we get to experience the privilege of in-person learning. Nothing about living or growing up during a world-wide pandemic, a time of civil unrest, or a tumultuous election year is easy. I reflect daily on how this is impacting our children and their future.

Happy Halloween! We are 8 weeks in and counting. Thank you for your continued honesty and caution as it relates to our COVID procedures. Every day we are in school is a blessing and we couldn’t do it without your partnership. I could not be more proud of our resilient and incredible students who work so hard to learn (and have fun while doing so) each day under our unique circumstances. We are so fortunate to be able to work with your wonderful children.
